Add items (HSN/SAC)

Strong item setup improves billing speed, stock accuracy, and GST clarity.

  1. Open Items and choose whether the item is a product or a service.
  2. Enter a clear name, unit, sale price, and purchase price.
  3. Add HSN for products or SAC for services when tax is used.
  4. Turn stock tracking on only for goods that you want to count.
  5. Add starting stock only if this is the first setup for that product.
  6. Save the item and test it in one sample document.

Tip: Keep item names short and specific so staff can find them quickly.

Important: Wrong item type, HSN, or SAC will affect stock or GST reporting later.

A correct item record saves time on every future document.
